Adelaide Road app for iPhone and iPad

Join the Royal Shakespeare Company on an interactive theatrical journey where the world is a stage and you are a player.
Inspired by Shakespeare’s As You Like It, take a real or virtual journey along Adelaide Road in London while listening to stories and poems on the themes of love, betrayal, exile and home. The start point for your journey is Hampstead Theatre where you should begin the App and your journey. There are seven ages of time in your journey and stories will unfold as you travel along the road. Your progress will be reflected in a symbolic clock of your journey. You can join in by taking every opportunity to write creatively and play games to win trophies to add to your writer’s shelf and receive your invitation to the wedding of the year!
If you cannot get to Hampstead Theatre never fear, you can be an adventurer in carpet slippers and take a virtual journey instead.

If you start the app at or near Adelaide Road in London, the app will run in GPS mode. You will need to follow the directions shown on screen to the real locations to receive the content. If you start the app away from Adelaide Road, then you can view the content without needing to be there, clicking the touchstone buttons to continue when appropriate.

Note: Some users have reported sound disappearing at certain points. If this happens to you, then restart the app using the following procedure.
1) Press the home button
2) Double-tap the home button, this brings up the list of running apps.
3) Tap-and-hold the Adelaide Road icon, and tap the red - button that appears. This quits the app.
4) Restart the app by tapping the Adelaide Road icon on the home screen. You will continue from roughly where you left off.
